Calling For All Universities In Malaysia And Southeast Asia!!

Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival is back! 2017 marks our 10th anniversary for KLEFF, a not-for-profit environmental film festival whereby Malaysians and people around the world are welcome to join to know more about environmental issues through various eco activities. The KLEFF is an annual environmental film festival organised by EcoKnights since 2008, focusing on environmental issues such as pollution, indigenous peoples’ rights, waste management, nuclear energy, climate change, wildlife protection and more. Furthermore, KLEFF has reached out to more than 90,000 Malaysians through its free film screenings, roadshows and also during the festival weekend. For the 10th KLEFF2017, we are proud to announce our University Partners!

At present, the universities are:

  • UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA SARAWAK (UNIMAS), (FACULTY OF APPLIED CREATIVE AND ARTS
  • HAN CHIANG COLLEGE
  • YANGON FILM SCHOOL, MYANMAR

EcoKnights would like to invite all universities in Malaysia and Southeast Asia to explore all possible collaboration with us by becoming our University Partner for the 10th KLEFF2017. Moreover, we believe that the involvement and support from institutes of higher learning plays a significant role in environmental communications to Malaysians. The University Partner must submit five (5) or more films to EcoKnights before 30th June 2017.

Here are some of the wonderful benefits if you become our University Partner. The benefits are:

  • Submission fees to participate in the KLEFF film competition for students will be waived via unique code.
  • Roadshow to discuss more about KLEFF at your university/faculty to benefit students that are interested in environmental film making (Malaysian universities only).
  • Brand presence for all the KLEFF website, KLEFFF FB Page (more than 32,000 likes) and a database reach of more than 4,000 emails.
  • Opportunity for the students to be a part of internationally recognized film festival in the Asean region.
  • Student’s film submission will stand a chance to win the special Asean Young Film Maker Award category.
  • Opportunities to become a volunteer during the Festival Weekend with 300 other individuals to promote environmental awareness to Malaysia public.
