Press Release: Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival Announces The Finalists of The 2018 Green Poster Competition

July 25th, Kuala Lumpur – The KLEFF green poster competition has wrapped up today! After receiving over 100 posters from applicants of all backgrounds and affiliations, 10 finalists were selected by a panel of judges. The panel of judges was staffed by Nabila Shohimi (EcoKnights Education officer and KLEFF Coordinator), Azizul Yusof (Senior Graphic Designer), and Luqman Avicenna (EcoKnights Junior Visual designer).
Starting from the 2nd of August, one finalist poster will be posted on the EcoKnights Facebook page every Monday and Thursday until the 3rd of September when the final, grand prize winner will be announced. Each post will contain deeper explanations from the artists regarding their artwork. The aim of this promotion is to support and promote the work of the participating artists who demonstrated excellent technical ability and creativity. The top 10 posters are as follows:

Now in its 11th year, the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival, produced by environmental NGO, EcoKnights features environment-themed documentary, feature, animated, archival, and experimental and children’s films from around the world. KLEFF showcases groundbreaking films, traversing the relationship between humans and their environments, challenging the way people think about the natural world and inspiring them to discuss, explore and act on important environmental issues. The films will be shown at various venues around Kuala Lumpur, including art spaces, cafes, universities, high schools, corporate officers and community theatres. Filmmakers and special guests will discuss their work at the festival. Most screenings are free to the public and include a discussion with filmmakers or scientists on emerging environmental concerns and issues.
