Davina Goh (also known as Davina Da Vegan) is Malaysia’s most well-known advocate for a plant-based lifestyle, inspiring Malaysians to make conscious diet and lifestyle choices. She eliminated meat from her diet in 2000 and began educating herself in nutrition, developing her own plant-based recipes using ingredients accessible to Malaysians, which she shares on her platform DavinaDaVegan.com. Besides promoting a plant-based lifestyle, Davina is also an activist for environmental, animal and social causes bringing awareness to compassion for all living things, as well as an ambassador for Greenpeace Malaysia and Shark Savers Malaysia.
Her Davina Da Veganpersona came about when she first started posting food experimentations in a photo album on Facebook after going vegetarian and eventually vegan. Her friends would constantly ask her for recipes, hence she created a special page “Davina Da Vegan” to share recipes, articles and cafe reviews with her vegan friends and community, and she never looked back since! After venturing down this route, she has since developed a deep appreciation for fresh local produce and re-inventing how we perceive them. As a Plant-Based Lifestyle Advocate, her work now contributes to the Southeast Asian narrative of veganism, empowering individuals to take charge of their health, what goes on their plate, and learn to have fun with it too!
