[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE]

16th Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Fest 2024 (KLEFF 2024) to Celebrate Sustainability Through Cinema

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — April 1st, 2024

The 16th International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Fest (KLEFF) is thrilled to announce its return this year! KLEFF is back with renewed vigor, both as a physical and digital film festival. Mark your calendars for October 2024 as we embark on another inspiring journey of environmental awareness and advocacy.

A Thank You to Our Supporters

The festival committee extends its heartfelt gratitude to the partners, exhibitors, filmmakers, performers, vendors, workshop coordinators, volunteers, and visitors who supported the 15th edition of KLEFF 2023. Your unwavering commitment to environmental consciousness and sustainable living has been the driving force behind our success. Together, we’ve made a significant impact, and we’re excited to continue this journey with you.

Water: Sustainably Yours

Inspired by the 2024 World Water Day theme, KLEFF breathes new life into its mission. This year’s concept revolves around the idea of emphasizing the importance of responsible water stewardship and sustainability. Water serves as one of the elements that forms a nexus at the heart of sustainable development. Apart from Water – Food – Energy, we believe that every individual’s actions matter, and collectively, we can create positive change.

Thus, supported and funded by the National Commission of Water Services (SPAN), KLEFF 2024 will be mobilized to be one of the platforms that utilize audiovisual outreach in bringing awareness and action in sustainable water management.

This is exactly what KLEFF2024’s mission is since its birth 16 years ago: connect everyone, spread every word, and empower and inspire everybody to adopt a sustainable lifestyle, a lifestyle based on wise and informed decision-making process towards the well-being of all generations, now and the future.

’Water: Sustainably Yours’ highlights the importance of sincere and internally-motivated behavior based on a good informed decision-making process. This is the main aim of KLEFF: to provide the most updated information to the public to empower them to act wisely and sincerely.

– Amlir Ayat, Honorary Advisor of KLEFF

Let’s inspire reflection, awareness, and action on water-related environmental issues, highlighting the connection between water conservation, ecosystem health, and human well-being.
