History of KLEFF and its partners

The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival or commonly known as KLEFF is Malaysia’s first and longest-serving creative platform promoting sustainable living. Organized annually since 2008, ever since then KLEFF has been a flagship program of EcoKnights and has been a celebrated grassroots cultural and environmental event in the country. Throughout the years of organizing KLEFF, EcoKnights has taken on various partnerships and sponsorships to grow it from a small scale and grassroots Eco Film Festival to an Internationally recognized Film Festival with over 120 + submissions every year in where 70% of the submissions consists of international films submissions. 
But all of KLEFF growth’s cannot just be attributed to the success of the festival itself, as credit also needs to given to the partnerships and sponsorships that had helped the growth of KLEFF throughout the years.

The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) is Malaysia’s first and longest-serving platform promoting sustainable living through showcases of environmentally-themed films and programs. Since 2008, KLEFF’s mission is to accelerate mainstreaming of sustainable living and stewardship of the environment through the power of audio visual materials and activities.

During the festival, KLEFF hosts the screening of more than 50 films reaching to an audience of more than 5,000. With the collaboration of partners and sponsors, KLEFF is gradually becoming the nation’s celebrated grassroots cultural and environmental event.

The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival is a not-for-profit program organized by local environmental NGO, EcoKnights.
